Executive chef John Schulze announces that all foods prepared at the Galaxy Restaurant will be trans fat free!
Here's what chef John has to say:
The research has linked eating foods with trans fats (transformed fat made by artificially changing fat to extend the shelf life of foods) with increased risk of coronary heart disease. The chefs and cooks at the Galaxy prepare foods using only oils without trans fat. Our frying oil today contains 0g trans fat and is made from only pure soy beans. We use only 100 % olive, canola, sesame, and coconut oils in preparing dressings, marinades, sauces, and pastries. I believe that even though the cost of using oils that contain 0g trans fat is higher, the health of our customers and the quality of our food is worth the price. Being an informed chef today obligates me to insure that the food prepared at the Galaxy promotes good health, and our customers can be confident that quality is our highest priority. |
