Greetings from the Kitchens of the Galaxy!
First of all, my friends, please forgive me for taking so long to update Chef's Corner.
There are a lot of things happening which have kept yours truly very busy....and here are but a few of them:
The Best of the Best, done by the fine folks at The Akron Beakon has begun. For those of you that are not familiar, it is a local voting of, simply, the best of the best in a whole array of scenarios... from restaurants to car dealerships and everything in between.
Last year the Galaxy took first place in 4 categories... Romantic Dining, Wine Room, Patio and Banquets. My dessert menu took second place and I was voted "Third Best Chef" in
the Akron Area. In 2012 the Galaxy is nominated for over a dozen areas in the field of restaurants, dining, service and hospitality.
Please visit our website for more information and, if you feel so inclined, cast your vote for any and all of your friends at the Galaxy. Remember... you can vote once per day...
Another thing that is on our plate (if you will excuse the pun) is our burger menu. If you have not been in for awhile you will see that we have added 13 new "burgers" to our already out of this world menu. "Something for everyone" was our goal...and I think that we hit it on the nose. Here are but a few examples of this menu: The "Bonzai" burger is a sesame crusted filet of Ahi Tuna, seared rare and served on a sweet bun with Wasabi mayo, sweet soy and crispy Asian
Slaw. The "Jive Turkey" is a seasoned turkey patty served on a butter toasted Kaiser roll with slivered red onion, fresh Arugula and a dollop of Ancho sour cream. How about the "Bistro Burger"? This 7 ounce patty is topped with a
wafer of crumbled bacon and bleu cheese, sauteed mushrooms and our rich demi glace.
I could go on and on... just come on in and have the best burger in town!!
Now, finally.....the big news.

The dining room of the Galaxy will be closing down in a few weeks from this posting for a complete renovation. We will continue dinner service in the Wine room, Cellar room (when
space is available) and other banquet locations. This is to allow for construction to take place for the upcoming
Circle L Steak House which will be making its grand opening in early October. Hand cut steaks, new suprises and a breathtaking new lay out will make this space truly "out of this world". I cannot wait to welcome you to what has been an idea in the making for a long, long time.
Rest assured that I will be letting you know, through this post, more and more about what you can expect from this new location in the weeks to come.
