Greetings from the Kitchens of the Galaxy!!
There are so many things to tell you about that I hardly know where to begin... (You might want to have pen and paper handy!!)
Easter Brunch is this Sunday! From 10 until 3 we will be serving our tremendous Easter Brunch. Please call ASAP for your reservation because we are filling up FAST. Roasted Prime Rib of Beef, Whole Hams in a glaze of Pineapple, Clove and cherry, Our Famous Scalloped Potatoes, Blackened Chicken.....the list goes on and on.... Yours truly will be carving and looking forward to saying hello to all of you.
T is for Tuesday.....
Every Tuesday I am picking a "T" city from the globe and preparing authentic cuisine accordingly. We have visited Tuscany, Tahiti and Tampa (for Cuban food that was
definitely a hit last night!)
On April 10th, next Tuesday, I will be taking you to Tokyo, Japan. On the Menu... Special Small Plate of Ahi Tuna Hand Rolls (Beautiful Sushi) Special Salad of Wakame seaweed salad and cold Soba noodles in a spicy peanut dressing, Miso Soup with shrimp. Entrees to include: -Tonkaksu Tuna (A beautiful and ancient presentation of our popular A1
grade Ahi Tuna), -Crispy Tempura Prawns with Sweet soy and Japanese Black Pepper sauce for dipping -Sushi Platter with Spicy Galaxy Vegetable roll, Galaxy Crab Roll, California Roll and Crunchy Dynamite Roll, -Tokyo Tenderloin seared with Miso and cut on the bias with my own Japanese succotash of edemame and baby corn. -Sake Poached Salmon served over buckwheat udan noodles. All of this and a surprise dessert.....I cannot wait to see you here for that.
Subsequent Tuesdays will find us in Tangiers for Moroccan food, Toledo, Spain for Spanish Tapas, Tandoori for spicy and exotic Indian fare and then in Thailand for a spectacular finish.
Thursdays will take on their own special flavor as we move into warmer weather, the opening of the patio and the return of Island Thursdays. Even if the Ohio spring keeps us indoors, join us for wonderful tastes of the Islands every Thursday.
And Now....:::DRUM ROLL::: something we decided to do in the very near future.
On Saturday, April 14th 2012, it will be the 100th anniversary of that fateful last voyage of the R.M.S. Titanic. We will be paying homage to that occasion by offering a special wine dinner which features the actual menu that was served in the First Class dining room on that night, April 14, 1912.
Ten courses (presented in small portions) will accurately depict the kind of opulence that could only be found on the most prestigious of Ocean vessels. The cost is $100.00 a person which will include food and wine as well as tax and gratuity and is limited to 10 couples or a maximum of 20
people. We will be pouring one of our large bottles displayed in the wine room for the main course and offering white and red wines (accordingly) with each course.
Similar dinners are anywhere up to $1000.00 a person all over the world....so we hope that you can attend what is sure to be a tremendous evening in the Cellar room at the Galaxy.
There....I think I mentioned everything.....now, I must get back to the kitchens.
