Greetings from the Galaxy Kitchens!
First things first....
I would like to express my thanks for all of the kind words and support on our new Steak, Chop and Seafood menu.
The Grouper, Prestige chops, fresh fish, Stockyard Sirloin and the Cowboy (a personal favorite which is cut to order each and every time) are being ordered and positively received at a rate that exceeds my expectations.
Nothing compares to seeing empty plates come back to the kitchen AND hearing all of the positive feedback.
So, thank you for that....on behalf of myself and my top notch crew!!
Now, on to other things…
-Heirloom tomatoes are on the way. Farmer Jerry and his wife tell me to expect them before the weekend.
(The caprese salad that I have in mind for you is going to knock off your socks....or flip flops...as the case may be.)
-Join us for the Galaxy Golf outing on the 27th of this month. There is still space available for what is always a great time.
-We are planning some wine dinners for September and October and would love to see you there. Possible themes are: ABC (Anything but Chardonnay) Where we look at some overlooked white and red varietals that will soon become your favorites. Cabernet vs. Merlot: Grown in virtually the same climate, a month apart, these Bordeaux varietals are so very similar and yet so different. The Syrah, the Great Grape of the Rhone changes its character in different parts of the world. (In Australia it even changes its name to Shiraz)

Well, my friends, I need to get back to the kitchen but before I do so I would like to put out a shameless plug.

My friends Jenny Lucas and Jerry Fair are both in the run for "Best Bartender" and "Best Server" respectfully and the Galaxy is up for "Best Seafood", "Best Wine Room", "Best Steak" to mention a few.
